Roeland Park set four benchmarks for citizen satisfaction among 39 communities in the Kansas City area in a survey conducted by ETC Inc. of Olathe. That means the citizens of Roeland Park are the most satisfied of all area residents in regards to maintenance of city streets, which scored 88 percent; visibility of police, 87 percent; snow removal, 83 percent; and sidewalk maintenance, 79 percent. “This is a very rare occurrence,” said Karen Faulk, senior project manager with ETC, who presented the final report on Monday night at Roeland Park City Hall. “You’re setting the standard in these areas.” Excerpt from the Kansas City Star article published October 2008
