What is the current mill levy rate for the City?
$18.77 per $1,000 of assessed valuation.
To calculate your 2009 City of Roeland Park Tax Bill use the
following link to the
Johnson County
Land Records database to locate your property/tax bill (if you
do not have a copy).
Multiply the total valuation times 11.5% for residential property or
25% for commercial or industrial property and then by the 2008 City
of Roeland Park mill levy of $18.77 per $1,000 of assessed
evaluation.
For example a home with a total valuation of $150,000 the
calculation would be: ($150,000 X .115 X 18.77)/1000=$323.78.
Remember, this is the City of Roeland Park portion of your tax bill.
It does not include taxes for libraries, school districts and other
taxing entities.
Johnson County Wastewater-related charges on your property tax bill
• There is a Johnson County wastewater charge for capital (CAP) wastewater expenditures will remain on your tax bill. These fee-generated funds will be used to cover the cost of capital expenditures that include structures, improvements, equipment and other major assets including land. Capital expenditures generally are not directly related to day-to-day operations.
