Public Information Meeting for the RC12-014 Benefit District

The City of Roeland Park will be holding a public meeting on the RC12-014 Stormwater project to discuss the various stormwater issues associated with it.  There will be an opportunity to make public comments, and the public is encouraged to participate.

This meeting is being held to invite and encourage public participation on the City’s efforts to construct stormwater improvements. A notice will be mailed to all of the RC12-014 Benefit District residents. The Benefit District Map depicts the boundaries of this district. 

The project is in the draft design stage and public input is encouraged.  Easement documents will available at the meeting for those areas in which the City will need either permanent or temporary use of your property.

 

The costs of this project will be funded by Johnson County SMAC, the City’s Infrastructure Fund, and the RC12-014 Benefit District. 

 

There are currently funds designated by the city in the amount of $850,000 and approximately $2.28 million by Johnson County SMAC. 

 

Public Hearings for setting the RC12-014 Benefit District Boundaries will be forthcoming.
