City of Roeland Park Announces Partnership with Energy Tracking Company, Dynamhex

Dynamhex Plan

The City plans to work closely with the company to use its data to better understand where the biggest reductions can be made to ultimately cut greenhouse gas emissions in the City.

“Roeland Park is a community that is committed to improving the environment and fighting climate change” said Mayor Mike Kelly. “We hope our work with Dynamhex will inspire other cities and organizations to do the same.”

The first phase of the project will consist of Dynamhex data gathering and setting up visual modules of carbon emissions in Roeland Park. Once the digital data tool is complete, Dynamhex will provide the City with strategic recommendations on where and how energy consumption can be reduced.

“We know that about half of the energy-based emissions in Roeland Park comes from homes and the other half comes from transportation, offices and other buildings,” said City Administrator, Keith Moody. “The Dynamhex tool will allow us to create action plans to reduce carbon emissions and provide residents with tips to reduce their own footprint as well.”

This summer residents will be able to access this online tool to view their own personal emissions estimates. Check out more information on Roeland Park’s assessment and watch an informational video about Dynamhex.
